Katy Perry tells bride-to-be not to marry

Katy Perry has advised a bride-to-be not to get married.

The 27-year-old pop star - who split from ex-husband Russell Brand in December 2011 after 14 months of marriage - crashed Laura Cooney's hen party in Mahiki nightclub in London's Mayfair on Saturday night (17.03.12) and told her, 'Don't do it.'

Laura said: 'We were drinking in Mahiki and Katy was dancing nearby. She ran up to me, saying 'Don't do it! Don't get married!'

'I said, 'I'd thought you'd say that!' She suddenly caught herself and said, 'No, really ... congratulations.' She chatted to me for about 10 minutes. Katy was really, really sweet. She wished me luck.'

Katy was left angry and hurt by the end of her marriage to Russell, 36, and pals of the 'Part of Me' singer don't believe she will be able to be friends with the British comedian in the wake of their separation.

A friend told the Daily Mirror newspaper: 'Things aren't great between Russell and Katy, and the likelihood of them staying friends dims by the day.'

Katy - who tied the knot to Russell in India in October 2010 - appeared to speak out against marriage yesterday (19.03.12), saying: 'Let me tell you about permanence - it doesn't exist.'

The blue-haired beauty's night in Mahiki was cut short when she 'bolted' out of the London nightclub after hearing Russell was about to arrive.

A source explained: 'She wanted to spend the night singing in the room as it's where her best friend Rihanna normally comes to play when she's in town.

'Katy was having a great night but bolted out of the door when one of her sidekicks stunned her by telling her Russ was about to turn up.

'Rather than risk an awkward run-in, Katy didn't take any chances and ordered everyone to move on to a club in Chelsea instead.'
