Rihanna has reportedly offered to set Katy Perry up with a man.

'Cheers (Drink to That)' singer Rihanna is close to the 'Firework' star and hoping to help her get over her 14-month marriage to Russell Brand - which ended in December - by getting back on the dating scene.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: 'Rihanna wants to help Katy in any way she can. She is telling her that she'll start setting her up!'

Katy's friends are also keen on the idea of her finding a new romance, instead of 'wasting time' crying over Russell.

The source added: 'Katy has been very upset about the divorce. She never expected it to end and now she's dealing with the aftermath.

'But her friends are telling her to get back out there and date. They don't want her to waste time being upset over Russell.'

It would appear Katy, 27, is at least open to having a good time, as she and friends were spotted out partying until three in the morning earlier this week.

A source said: 'She was also with a bunch of male friends, and they played numerous games of bowling.

'They were drinking mixed vodka drinks and having a blast.'

Meanwhile, Russell - who is also in Los Angeles - is rumoured to have recently spent a night with model and artist Oriela Medellin Amieiro, and sources have suggested he is already going back to the womanising ways he was famous for before he met his wife.

A source told Us Weekly magazine the 'Arthur' star is 'definitely playing the field. And he never mentions Katy.'
