Adele and Katy Perry radiate at 2012 Grammys (VIDEOS)

Last night's Grammy Awards show was underscored by the tragic death of Whitney Houston, but two women dominated the night's performances: Adele and Katy Perry.

In a not-so-veiled swipe at ex husband Russell Brand, Katy Perry let it rip in her sexy and powerful stage performance of "Part of Me," as the blue haired and futuristic Barbarella-looking Perry belted out: "Throw your sticks and stones, throw your bombs and your blows, but you're not gonna break my soul..."

British singer Adele, the best-selling artist of 2011 and nominated in six categories, pulled off a win in every award she was up for, including song and record of the year for 'Rolling in the Deep' and album of the year (21).

Adele took the win for the short-form video, pop vocal album and pop solo performance (for 'Someone Like You').

Adele became the sixth artist (and youngest) to win six awards in a night, which tied her with Beyoncé for most wins by a woman and with Eric Clapton for most wins by a British artist.

Adele looked absolutely radiant as she came back with a vengeance, singing her monster hit "Rolling in the Deep," a powerful response to a bad relationship, acapella at first them joined by backup singers and her band looking fully recovered from her vocal chord surgery.
