Peaches Geldof wants to adopt a pig.

The 22-year-old socialite - who is expecting her first child with her musician fiancé Thomas Cohen - loves the animals so much that she wants to buy a few for her home in Whitechapel, east London.

Thomas, 21, told the Daily Star: 'Peaches is obsessed with pigs. We might get them at Whitechapel because she loves them so much.'

Peaches - who once owned a micro-pig with ex-boyfriend Eli Roth - revealed her pregnancy in January after telling her father Bob Geldof over Christmas.

Her baby boy is due to be born on April 24 - the birthday of Peaches' late mother, Paula Yates, who died of a heroin overdose in September 2000.

The TV presenter believes that the due date is a definite sign that her mum is watching over her.

She told Hello! Magazine: 'It was amazing for me when they told me that, very emotional and touching and just really beautiful. I was so happy.

'I feel like it's a little wink from my mum; her way of sending a message to let me know that she's watching over me and my baby.'
