LeAnn Rimes in pain following 'minor surgery'

LeAnn Rimes is suffering from mouth and jaw pain following 'minor surgery'.

The 29-year-old country singer had an operation last week, and while she has not disclosed exactly what the problem was, she admits that the procedure has left her in agony.

Writing on her twitter page on Saturday (04.02.12), she said: 'K, coming clean ... I had minor surgery this week and I've been in SO much pain it's not even funny.

'Nothing major just annoying! Pain pain go away!!!!!! When it's mouth pain and jaw pain it makes your whole head pound! YUCK. (sic)'

LeAnn is recuperating at a Malibu beach house with friends and her actor husband Eddie Cibrian, and said that the relaxing location has worked wonders for her pain.

Returning to her twitter page on Saturday afternoon, she wrote: 'The pain is subsiding finally for a moment. My head has been vibrating all day. Maybe the sand under my feet is helping.'

However the Grammy Award winner was quick to clarify that the operation was not cosmetic after one of her twitter followers referred to it as 'facial surgery'.

She wrote: 'Facial surgery lol that makes it sound like I got work done. You are gonna start some rumors. (sic)'
