Madonna has admitted feeling nervous about her half-time Super Bowl XLVI performance on Sunday.
The Vogue singer spoke on Thursday at a news conference discussing her fears, excitement and plans for the show.
“This is a Midwesterner girl’s dream to be performing at Super Bowl half-time,” she said.
Madonna said she will be dedicating the show to her father because she feels he is responsible for the work ethic she has.
53-year-old Madonna says “If I’m a hardworking girl that never stops, it’s because of him [my father].”
“I’m sure out of all the things I’ve done in my life, this will be the thing he [my father] is most excited about,” Madonna explains.
Madonna assures people that there will be no wardrobe malfunctions this year.
“Great attention to detail has been paid to my wardrobe. There will be no wardrobe malfunctions. Promise,” Madonna says.
Madonna will take to the stage and entertain the crowd of over 60,000 and a live television audience at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday February 5th.
The pop queen has revealed she will perform three old songs along with a new one but has not given any more details on her performance.
Some of the other artists that have had the privilege of performing at the Super Bowl half-time show include Black Eyed Peas, The Who, Prince, Paul McCartney, Sting, Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake.
“In the over 25 years of performing that I’ve done, I have never worked so hard or been so scrupulous or detail orientated or freaked out as much as I have maintaining my sanity and trying to make the most amazing show for the Super Bowl,” Madonna explained.
Madonna won a Golden Globe last month for her song Masterpiece from the film W.E in the category of 'BEST ORIGINAL SONG - MOTION PICTURE.'
