Paula Abdul has been axed from X Factor.
“Yes it’s true, I won’t be returning to the X Factor next season,” the Daily Mail quoted the Opposites Attract singer saying.
“I’ve learned through my longevity in this industry that business decisions often at times override personal considerations.”
She added “Simon is, and will remain a dear friend of mine and I’ve treasured my experience working this past season. I want nothing more than for The X Factor to exceed all of their wildest dreams. This truly has been a blessing and I am most grateful.”
Abdul joins fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger and host Steven Jones in being dropped from the popular talent show.
Simon Cowell sent out a massive thank you to Abdul, Scherzinger and Jones for being part of X Factor and wished them all luck with their careers.
It has been reported that Cowell is looking at Katy Perry, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj to become judges on the next series of X Factor.
Dermot O’Leary, who hosts the UK version, is also said to have a shot at taking over Jones' role, the Daily Mail reports.
