Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie attended the Producers Guild Awards on Saturday in Beverly Hills and spoke to Reuters about their different views on work.
The couple, who not only have hectic work schedules but also have six children, talk about work at the end of the day.
“Usually we argue shop every now and then,” Pitt told the news agency.
He explains that Jolie is the more decisive one out the two. “She’s much more quick. I’ve got to see everything. I've got to shop the entire eBay to know exactly what I want and what I need."
36-year-old Jolie was honoured with the Stanley Kramer Award for her directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey.
Tombraider star Jolie explained that the controversial film set during the Bosnian war “wasn't to make a political statement against anybody. It was simply to say, 'We must talk about what happened, we must try to learn from what happened, we must try to see humanity on all sides,' and if we can, then we can start to move forward."
Jolie reveals that her and Pitt have different roles which call for different skills. “I had to direct. I think it’s different. I think he’d execute properly if he was the director,” she said.
43-year-old Pitt produced the film Moneyball, which he also starred in. The film was nominated for an award but lost out to The Artist.
Regardless of their different roles, Pitt admits when he needs advice he turns to Jolie. “I’ll always go to her and talk it out.”
