Nick Cannon returned to his radio show Rollin' with Nick Cannon yesterday and spoke about his recent stay in hospital.
Cannon was admitted to hospital while on vacation with his wife Mariah Carey in Aspen.
Cannon spoke to America's Got Talent co-worker Howard Stern on their respective radio shows yesterday morning.
“They originally thought I had acute mountain sickness because I was in Aspen. Then they thought it was kidney stones, then a kidney infection,” Cannon explained.
“They found out my kidneys were not functioning well, so we said ‘mild kidney failure.'”
41-year-old Carey kept fans updated on Cannon’s progress during his hospital stay via Twitter. She asked everyone to pray for Nick and thanked them for all their love and concern.
Cannon said about Carey “I’m happier than happy, especially through this entire process. We’ve become much closer. I even got a chance to see a different side of my wife where she became so nurturing. I’m in debt to her forever.”
31-year-old Cannon realised he needed to take things a bit easier. “Because of this situation I know I don’t need to go so hard. It’s really about taking some time,” he explained.
Although Cannon still has a couple more procedures to go through he said “I’m good, I'm back, I’m feeling 100 percent.”
Carey and Cannon attended the BET Honors on Saturday night in Washington D.C. where Carey was honoured in the entertainment category.
