Appearing together to promote a new television show for Univision at the Television Critics' Association winter press tour in Pasdena yesterday (Jan. 14), Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez sat before a roomful of journalists Saturday morning for a panel about their new reality show, "Q'Viva! The Chosen," which they host and produce.
The awkward panel saw recently split couple Anthony and Lopez sit side-by-side on-stage. They carefully chose their words and did not appear to have any issues with each other.
But the TV critics were agitated that the structure of the panel disallowed for any meaningful questions other than canned PR speak for the series.
Univision presented a sizzle reel previewing the series, shown at the start of the panel, asked, "What would you do to bring Marc and Jennifer together again?"
One TCA member asked if the show would be translated for English speaking audiences. The series will in fact be multi-lingual and play to English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The panelists and Univision organizers sidestepped any personal questions artfully, and another sizzle reel and a Latin flavored dance number was choreographed on the panel stage.
