Aretha Franklin is getting married.
The Queen of Soul is engaged to long-term friend William Wilkerson a rep told People.
The Respect singer is looking to wed in the summer, hopefully June or July. The couple are thinking about getting married on Miami Beach followed by an exclusive reception aboard a private yacht.
The 69-year-old jokingly confirms to People that she is not pregnant.
“Ms. Franklin is considering Donna Karan, Valentino and the queen of wedding dresses, Vera Wang, to design her gown,” Franklin’s spokesperson confirmed to the magazine.
Franklin has been married twice before and has four children.
The Grammy award winner recently returned to the stage after suffering health problems and having surgery for an undisclosed ailment in December 2010.
Tony Bennett and Franklin did a duet called ‘How Do You Keep The Music Playing,’ which was recently released on Bennett’s new album ‘Duets II.’
