Taylor Lautner in 'gay' magazine hoax

Taylor Lautner was the target of a hoax yesterday when a fake cover of People magazine leaked on the internet claiming the Twilight actor is gay.
Lautner is featured on the front cover of the bogus January 7th 2012 issue with a headline story that reads ‘Out & Proud.’
The phoney magazine cover claims to offer an exclusive story where Taylor Lautner admits he is gay.
‘Tired of rumours, the Twilight star opens up about his decision to finally come out,’ the magazine reads.
“I’m more liberated, and happier than I’ve ever been,” is the fake quote that appears under the 19-year-old actor’s photo.
A rep for People confirmed to Gossip Cop that this issue of the magazine is “absolutely fake.”
After learning about the magazine hoax, business mogul Russell Simmons tweeted ‘Disappointed that people would joke about someone coming out about their sexuality. Let Taylor Lautner be whoever he wants to be...’
