Jessica Lange and Sam Shepard have ended their relationship

Academy-Award-winning actress Jessica Lange and her long term partner, playwright and actor Sam Shepard, have separated.
A rep for Lange has confirmed the split and although the news may come as a surprise to some, People magazine reported that the couple actually finished their relationship two years ago!
A source told the magazine “They both are pursuing independent lives.”
62-year-old Lange and 68-year-old Shepard met on the set of the film ‘Frances.’ They became a couple in 1982 and, although they never got married, had two children together.
Lange is currently starring in American Horror Story, a horror-drama television show about a haunted house. The actress has been nominated for a Golden Globe award and a Screen Actors Guild award for her role in the FX horror series.
Shepard can be seen alongside Denzel Washington in the film 'Safe House' which is due for release on February 10th in the USA.
