Britney Spears and Jason Trawick celebrate their engagement in Vegas

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick jetted to Vegas over the weekend to jointly celebrate their new engagement and Trawick’s 40th birthday.

The couple headed to Planet Hollywood where Spears’ was sporting her new engagement ring. They later set off to Chateau night club to enjoy the rest of their evening.

The 30-year-old singer posted about her night on Twitter saying ‘Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life. Such an amazing time with my new fiancé and our closest friends and family. #Blessed.’

Trawick, Spears’ former agent, proposed to the ‘Toxic’ singer on Thursday night over dinner. Trawick told Access Hollywood that he proposed traditionally down on one knee and that Spear’s two sons were also present.

Spears has had two previous marriages. In January 2004, she married her childhood friend, Jason Alexander, but her marriage was annulled after only 55 hours. She later went on to marry her back up dancer, Kevin Federline, in September 2004. The couple had two sons together before divorcing in 2007.

The ‘Hold it Against Me’ singer has just finished her Femme Fatale tour and picked up two awards at the MTV Music Video Awards 2011.
