Meryl Streep's first Vogue cover

Award winning actress Meryl Streep is set to appear on the cover of Vogue for the first time.
Streep, who is currenty promoting her new movie 'The Iron Lady,' talks to the fashion magazine about power, women and her role as former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
The 62-year-old joked with the magazine that she was “probably the oldest person ever to be on the cover of Vogue.”
Thatcher was Britain’s first female Prime Minister and was known for taking a hard line in both domestic and foreign affairs. This earned her the nickname ‘The Iron Lady.’
Streep plays the role of Margaret Thatcher from the age of 49, when she first came into office, to her current age of 86.
Some of Streep's other films include ‘The Deer Hunter,’ Sophie’s Choice,’ ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’ ‘Death Becomes Her’ and ‘Mamma Mia
The actress told Vogue she thought when she turned 40 her acting career was over. However, at 62, the actress is still landing leading roles.
