Rosie O’Donnell engaged

Rosie O’Donnell has announced that she intends to walk down the aisle with girlfriend Michelle Rounds.

The talk show host recently broke the news of the engagement to her audience during the break of ‘The Rosie Show,’ her spokeswoman told Access Hollywood on Monday. The rep went on to say the couple got engaged several weeks ago and will continue to split their time between New York City and Chicago, where O’Donnell films her show.

The 49-year-old comedian met Rounds, a New York City head hunter, during the summer in Starbucks.

In an interview with Nightline she said “I thought she was a 28-year-old heterosexual girl, because that’s what she looked like to me. And she’s a 40-year-old gay woman. My gaydar was way off.

O’Donnell continued “But I think if I had known that she was gay, I wouldn’t have been brave enough to talk to her. She’s very beautiful, it’s very strange. And she’s really lovely, and she’s very, we laugh a lot.

O’Donnell married her former girlfriend, Kelli Carpenter, in 2004. They have four children together but split up in 2007.  O’Donnell went on to date Tracy Kachtick-Anders but the relationship ended at the start of the year.
