Tonight sees Corey Taylor, Henry Rollins, Dave Navarro, Scott Ian, Dave Lombardo and more help raise money and awareness for Drop in the Bucket, an African water project.
Tonight, Wednesday, November 30 at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood, CA, Corey Taylor, the dynamic lead-singer for two multi-platinum rock groups--Slipknot and Stone Sour--will join host Henry Rollins, Dave Navarro, drummer Dave Lombardo of Slayer, guitarist Scott Ian from Anthrax and other special guests to perform at a star-studded, all ages benefit concert for Drop in the Bucket - the Uganda-based non-profit that builds water wells and sanitation systems at large rural schools in sub-Saharan Africa.

Artist Shepard Fairey--who designed the exclusive poster for the event will be a guest DJ, and Kate Flannery of "The Office" will deliver a hilarious musical comedy routine with her ironic lounge act, The Lampshades.
Many more surprises will be on hand tonight. Taylor, hot off his recent book tour for the New York Times bestselling book Seven Deadly Sins… is currently in the middle of an almost entirely sold-out acoustic tour.
Taylor says, "In a time when money is suspect, and politics look a lot like schoolyard bullying, people forget that there are far greater issues going on worldwide. Millions of people live without water everyday, when it’s wasted on a daily basis by many. If I can do something to not only help, but raise awareness, I’m in. Drop in the Bucket is one of the most important and selfless causes I have ever had the privilege to be a part of. To be able to support the cause by putting on an awesome show with friends like Henry Rollins, Roy Mayorga, Scott Ian and John 5 (Rob Zombie) just shows how good this business can be sometimes!"
Rollins says, "There's no profit incentive here. It's only about getting people to water and keeping them alive and healthy."
Funds raised at the event will be used to expand Drop in the Bucket's vital programs into the northern region of Bahr el Ghazal region of South Sudan. This area is on the verge of a major humanitarian crisis due to the sudden influx of returnees coming from North Sudan following South Sudan's recent independence.
Tickets are available for purchase at the Avalon box office and online directly at: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0900476EE2E06248 for a general admittance rate of $25 and a VIP rate of $150. For more information on Drop In The Bucket, please visit www.dropinthebucket.org.
Drop In The Bucket recently started working in the Bahr el Ghazal region of South Sudan it is one of very few aid organizations working in this area, which is in the midst of a health and water crisis. Last month alone, more than 5,000 children died from malaria in the region as parts of Africa suffer the effects of the worst drought to hit the area in 70 years. Drop In The Bucket believes we can help create a world in which children are safe, healthy, educated and free from fear. And we believe that the key to achieving those ends is clean water and sanitation. For more information on Drop In The Bucket, please visit www.dropinthebucket.org.
Sponsors Vans, Guvera, Revolver and The Avalon support this event.
