Lady Gaga may be the biggest pop star on the planet, filling in that role after Michael Jackson's early tragic demise, but she is solidly down to Earth and has gone on record, family comes first.
Gaga is a juggernaut of record sales, retail sales (her own boutique in Barneys), publishing picture books, and starring in TV specials that are ratings gold, including the anticipated appearance on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve."
On ABC last night, Lady Gaga took us all inside her world on “A Very Gaga Thanksgiving,” where we learned the diva has her own room still at Mom and Dad’s on the Upper West Side and adores her father, according to new reports published in the New York Post
“She still doesn’t have her own place in the city,” one friend tells The Post. “She and her family are very tight.”
Lady Gaga may dress up in gender bending costumes and far-out conceptual garb, but Stefani Germanotta (Gaga's real name) is a Catholic school educated girl who adores her own tribe: Sister Natali, mother Cynthia and father Joe — who reportedly is given 50 percent of his famous daughter's earnings under their LLCs, Team Love Child and Mermaid Music.
The Post also reported Gaga is diversifying and purchased her dad's favorite restaurant, renamed Joanne after his late sister.
The Post dug up an old quote from Elle magazine (January 2010), where she said, “I’m married to my dad,” and then in Vanity Fair, “I’m happier than I’ve ever been. I’ve been in my father’s arms for two weeks, wishing [him] a Happy Father’s Day.”
