Singer-songwriter Adele is doing well after on operation to remove a benign polyp from her throat earlier this month.
The Rolling in the Deep singer has been having problems with her voice since the start of this year.
Following doctor’s orders, the singer followed a strict regime of diets, steaming, vocal rest and vocal warm-ups. However, she later went on to develop a hemorrhage on the vocal cord.
The 23-year-old singer cancelled six shows in the UK in September and was upset at disappointing her fans. Writing on her blog she said “Guys, im heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again im experiencing problems with my voice. its ridiculous i know.” [sic]
Adele went on to say “i know its not only disappointing because of the show, but its plane tickets, hotel bookings, birthdays, anniversaries and time wasted. but please have faith in me that this is the only thing i can do to make sure i can always sing and always make music for you to the best of my ability. truly yours and yours only forever, adele xx.” [sic]
The star reports that the operation went well and she is ‘super happy’ and ‘on the mend.’
