Actor and singer Justin Timberlake made good on his promise to attend the Marine Corps Ball with US Marine Corporal Kelsey De Santis.
De Santis invited the 30 year old pop star to the event via a You Tube video. Speaking on the clip, the Marine said : “You want to call out my girl, Mila? Well, I’m going to call you out and ask you to come to the Marine Corps ball with me.”
Although the Marine Corps Times reported earlier this month that Timberlake would attend the event, many doubted the star would appear.
However, Timberlake did indeed attend looking very dapper and posted a message on his blog. Writing about the event he said: “I knew I would have an evening that I wouldn't forget... Something I could tell my friends about. What I didn't know was how moved I would be by the whole experience.”
The ‘In Time’ star ended his blog post by saying “Thank you Corporal Kelsey De Santis. Thank you for inviting me. And, thank you for being my hero.”
