Kim Kardashian hires Marty Singer to silence ex PR Jaxson's fake claims

Deep pockets come in handy when you are accused of faking a wedding and staging papparazzi events. 

Calabasas retailer - turned amateur porn star - turned reality TV star Kim Kardashian is now suing an ex publicist who told his tale on 'Good Day LA' morning news show last week.

Kardashian, according to TMZ, secured lawyer Marty Singer to silence Jonathan Jaxson, who claimed Kardashian's wedding to Kris Humphries was as real as the bright yellow cheese on a McDonald's hamburger.

According to TMZ, Kardashian is seeking $200,000 in legal damages from Jonathan Jaxson.

Jaxson told Dorothy, Jillian and Steve - the on air hosts for 'Good Day LA', that he worked for the E! reality star from 2007 - 2009 and that Kim's lavish lucrative marriage was staged.

Kardashian says Jaxson was hired to work on her blog -- and that he is in violation of a signed confidentiality document.

TMZ reports that Singer has filed papers on the matter to a party specializing in private arbitration.

Jaxson tweeted his thanks November 13, and is looking for an attorney too:

On his personal website, Jaxson released the following statement over the weekend: 

To the best of my knowledge, I have never signed an agreement dealing with confidentiality with Kim Kardashian. I have an agreement in my possession that does not have either parties signature on it.

When I have been contacted by the press to give comments on the wedding, my opinions have been from my personal point of view based on the statement she posted on her blog and conversations with mutual friends.

Regarding her engagement ring from Kris, I have stated that is was quite similar to the same ring I staged with her for a story we released to the press back on December 26, 2007. It was a planned shoot as she exited XIV Jewelers in Beverly Hills with the 7-carats on her right hand for media speculation that she was engaged, as she exited the jeweler.

I have not worked with Kim in a professional capacity in a couple of years and have absolutely no ill feelings towards her what so ever. The work we did together, I did as an acting publicist/friend on the side "behind-the-scenes" for her from 2007-2009. The pictures online, along with a video blog, and audio together speak for themselves.

The book I am publishing, "Don't You Know Who I Am Yet," chronicles one's 15-minutes of fame and is a behind-the-scenes look from a publicists world in Hollywood and my dealings with several of the clients in which I have worked with and those I have met along the way. Kim was and always has been only a very small part of that equation.

I still have not been served with any papers regarding this matter.
