George Clooney had a horrific back injury when filing "Syriana." and the pain of it pushed him to the edge. 'The Ides Of March' star tells Rolling Stone that 'he 'contemplated suicide'.
The injury, back in 2005, put him in a hospital bed.
Clooney told Rolling Stone: "I was at the point where I thought, 'I can't exist like this. I can't actually live'."
"I was lying in a hospital bed with an IV in my arm, unable to move, having these headaches where it feels like you're having a stroke, and for a short three-week period, I started to think, 'I may have to do something drastic about this..."
"But I never thought I'd get there. See, I was in a place where I was trying to figure out how to survive."
Clooney was filming the 2005 drama when he injured his spine so seriously that he lost spinal fluid through his nose.
