Twitter King and Queen Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher used the medium to communicate with each other and fans, each of them amassing millions of followers despite the rumblings over the years of cheating allegations on Kutcher's part.
Now the new face on "Two and a Half men" has a problem, and she has lawyered up and deleted her social media accounts.
Sara Leal is the Rachel Uchitel for Kutcher, the thread that is being pulled by a voracious tabloid army headed by TMZ, radaronline, Star and more as the two use Twitter to send cryptic messages.
"When you ASSUME to know that which you know nothing of you make an A[**] out of U and ME," Kutcher tweeted Thursday afternoon, as photos of him and Leal (allegedly) circulated.
Moore tweeted a quote from Greek philosopher Epictetus, writing, "When we are offended at any man's fault, turn to yourself & study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger." On Monday, she wrote "I see through you...." and linked to a photo of herself lying down with her eyes closed, her mouth drawn and looking surprisingly old for her normal glossy magazine shots we normally see.
Skipping their anniversary, Moore, 48, promoted the short film she directed for Lifetime's "Five" anthology in New York, Kutcher, 33, partied in a club with his former "That '70s Show" co-star Danny Masterson in San Diego, where the Leal tryst allegedly occurred.
Last year also saw tabloid reports claiming Kutcher had cheated on Moore, and the couple took a "spiritual trip" to Israel.
It will only be a matter of time to learn if @MrsKutcher gets Twitter to allow her a name change, keeping her massive army of followers.
