Anti-Federalist, strict isolationist Texas Republican congressman Ron Paul is running for the GOP candidacy for the next presidential election.
His straight talking ways enrage many fellow Republican because he does not couch his language in jingoistic rhetoric, and dares to disagree with his party on the military and many other key issues.
And this is music to Barry Manilow's ears.
"Mandy" singer Barry Manilow told the DailyCaller that he agrees with “just about everything” Ron Paul says, calling him a “solid” contender for the highest office in the land.
“I like him. I like what he says, I do. I like what he says. I think he’s solid,” said Manilow, who even contributes to his coffers.
“I agree with just about everything he says. What can I tell you?” Manilow added.
Manilow gave his Ron Paul soundbite in Washington DC, there to raise awareness for atrial fibrillation or AFib, a heart disease he has fought for over 15 years.
Manilow hopes to sway lawmakers to support H.R. 295, a bill that would advance AFib research and education.
Manilow also voiced uncertainty about the health care law signed by President Obama in March 2010.
