The whys of Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez's split have caused the rumor mill to go into overload.
The recent rumor that Jada Pinkett Smith and Marc Anthony were an item pushed the New York native to the point of talking openly about his marital issues.
Marc Anthony finally talked to Nightline about the Jada rumors, especially in light of the chatter over her marriage to Will Smith being in jeopardy.
He did not have an affair with Jada Pinkett Smith, the star of recently canceled TNT drama "HawthoRNe."
When asked whether there was infidelity in his marriage, Anthony told Nightline, "No, absolutely not." And the Smith rumor specifically? "When something like that happens, it's laughable," he said. "We've been friends for years. Jada, Jennifer, me, [Will Smith], for years."
"It was a flight attendant, it was the pilot – I heard it was this guy sitting next to me in a rehab in Houston," he adds of the cheating rumors. "I've heard it all."
Anthony shares that the cause of his marriage ending is less sensational and more a disenchantment.
"People are trying to peg it on things because it was so shocking," he says of the end of his seven-year marriage. "It was like, it must have been something."
