Wedding event of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries filled with emotion, laughter

It's been a long time coming for Kim Kardashian.

The reality TV star and retailer watched one sister marry and another give birth to her nephew.

Once an item with footballer Reggie Bush, Kardashian found her true love in the sport of basketball, like her sister Khloe.  This past weekend Kim wed pro Basketballer Kris Humphries.

People magazine won the bidding for the bragging rights of al the details, including the Intel that the couple will have second wedding party in New York City and that    Vera Wang was the go-to dress designer for Kardashian's wedding dress.  If you wanted to buy the couple a present, Gearys of Beverly Hills has the $170,000+ registry list and Hansens made the cake.

Kardashian reportedly wore an ivory strapless Vera Wang gown with a fitted bodice, tulle skirt and train, while holding a bouquet of all white roses. Her headpiece had diamonds cascading down to her face.

Kardashian's five bridesmaids were a "K" group too: Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie, and Kris Humphries' sister Kaela.

The emotional part of Kardashian's wedding was the printed program tribute to her late father, one of O.J. Simpson's attorneys, Robert Kardashian, as well as Humphries deceased grandmother and grandfather.

"I so wish my dad could be here today to walk me down the aisle," read Kardashian's passage. "But I know in a way he is here, and I feel his loving presence all around me. I love and miss you, dad."

The guests included Jillian Barberie, The Lohan Clan, Demi Lovato, Ryan Seacrest, Serena Williams, Kathie Lee Gifford and many sports figures.

People reported that singer Robin Thick serenaded the newlyweds and even sang an Al Green classic:  "Let's Stay Together."

Wolfgang Puck catered the wedding, and Hansens made a $20,000 replica of the royal couple, William and Kate.

E! will show footage from the Montecito event on Sunday at 6 p.m. EST, with a two-part special, "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event," which will air on Oct. 9 and 10.
