Jennifer Lopez gives polite post-mortem on marriage to Marc Anthony

Exiting a marriage can be a civilized or antagonistic venture.

Chanteuse and reality TV star Jennifer Lopez took the high road in her split from singer Marc Anthony, telling Vanity Fair magazine she respects the father of her two children.

Lopez made her first post-divorce announcement  interview to Vanity Fair magazine, and praised the fellow New York City native, despite their romance dying.

"I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer,” Lopez tells Vanity Fair. “We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic—and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children.”

Lopez is the cover girl for the September issue of Vanity Fair.

Side note: Another alleged man in her life, hunky actor, William Levy, who played J-Lo's love interest in her recent “I’m Into You” music video is being sued for sexual battery of a minor.

RadarOnline obtained court documents filed one year ago that accuse Levy of battery.

“Through deception and trickery Levy, with the aid of several members of his entourage, lured Plaintiff back to the Hilton Hotel in Glendale. Plaintiff, who was infatuated with Levy — a rising star of international renown for his work on Spanish language telenovelas — wanted his autograph,” the official papers state.

William, 30, released a statement to RadarOnline claiming because the plaintiff is a minor, she “gave consent to any and all alleged acts” and that the alleged victim “willfully, fraudulently, and maliciously deceived [Levy] into believing that she was a 19-year-old consenting adult.”

The alleged victim asked for $2.5 million in damages. William counter-sued for “defamation and extortion.”
