Who manages to get arrested at Comic Con?
Apparently Rhys Ifans does. The Amazing Spider-Man star was arrested for battery during Comic-Con event, reportedly in an altercation with a security guard.
The 44-year-old Welshman got into a dispute with a female security guard at a Comic-Con event in San Diego on Saturday afternoon when members of the stars entourage allegedly could not produce the proper credentials to enter.
TMZ reported that Rhys then 'became abusive, belligerent and aggressive,' before he allegedly shoved the female guard.
The guard detained him and called the police.
He was cited for misdemeanor battery and allowed to leave.
Rhys was there to promote The Amazing Spider-Man alongside his co-stars Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield. Ifans plays the villain The Lizard.
