Truth hurts, and what stings a bit more is when a former sidekick who you slagged in past interviews about her weight is now the top of the tabloid heap, beating you at your own game.

Yes, Paris Hilton is ingenue road-kill, and not even her new TV show can resurrect the dead. Kim Kardashian is Queen of the Scene for the moment. These facts were broached by one intrepid reporter at ABC who had the brass stones to go there.
Hilton, 30, walked out of an ABC television interview, portions of which aired on Wednesday, after being prodded by a series of unflattering questions.
Hilton's latest TV reality show "The World According to Paris", is a ratings bomb for Oxygen, and the reporter, Dan Harris, asked her about it. "Do you worry at times that the people who have followed in your footsteps, like Kim Kardashian, have overshadowed you," ABC News journalist Dan Harris asked Hilton.
"No, not at all," she replied, adding tersely that she was not upset about the low ratings for her TV show.
"Ever worry about your moment having passed?" pressed Harris.
Paris returned at the advice of her PR person and faced the music, defensively; "I've been doing this for 15 years now, so it's been a long time. So just like any other business person or someone in the industry, it's always important to reinvent yourself
In the mid-2000s, Hilton starred in "The Simple Life," with Nicole Richie, who has since gone on to create a fashion company and marry and become a mother.
Kim Kardashian, 30, and her entire family have gunned the fame-game gas pedal, and thanks to Ryan Seacrest they have swept the reality soap opera world with "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and other spinoff series.
