Gabriella Cilmi's reluctant strip
May 31, 2010, 9:30 GMT
Gabriella Cilmi didn't want to pose topless for a men's magazine.
The Australian singer - who took part in a raunchy photo shoot with a British magazine in order to promote her new album 'Ten' - admitted she wasn't expecting to be involved in such raunchy images and regrets the way she was portrayed in the sexy pictures.
She told BANG Showbiz: "The first single from the album is called 'Woman on a Mission', it was just kind of getting into character for what I thought the song was about, which is that it's OK to show off a bit of your body and your curves. Not to the extent that I did in the magazine.
"They removed my top, they didn't say they were going to do that, so that was a bit of a shock to see myself in that light, I was fed the wrong information, people didn't keep their promises. I wouldn't do it again, you can never tell what the outcome's going to be."
Despite this, the 19-year-old star - who also posed in the video for the single in a number of revealing outfits - believes she can flash a bit of flesh and still be a good role model.
She said: "It's cool to be sexy and confident with your body, and I'm setting a good example, I have a real body, yeah I look good."
