Dennis Hopper has died

Actor Dennis Hopper, who starred in film and television, has died.
Hopper recently apppeared in the Starz Original series 'Crash" as Ben Cendars, alongside Eric Roberts. He famously starred in the 1969 smash "Easy Rider," alongside Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson.
He was 74.
CNN reports that Hopper died Saturday at his Venice home, surrounded by family and friends. The actor was fighting prostate cancer.
Hopper is considered one of the finest American actors, and hailed from the heartland, Dodge City, Kansas.
For his film "Easy Rider," Hopper, Fonda and Terry Southern were nominated for Oscars for best screenplay. In 1969 he took the award at Cannes for Best First Work. In total he was nominated twice for the Academy Award.
