Gwyneth Paltrow advised by Downey

May 16, 2010, 6:04 GMT

Gwyneth Paltrow has taken marriage advice from Robert Downey Jr.

The actress - who has two children, Apple, six, and four-year-old Moses with her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin - has reportedly been talking to her hunky 'Iron Man 2' co-star about how to get the spark back in her relationship.

A source said: "It was actually her 'Iron Man 2' co-star Robert Downey Jr. who helped then turn things around. He advised her to prioritise her marriage and family and put her career and everything else behind that. It hit home."

The 37-year-old actress recently quit production of 'The Danish Girl' - which now stars Nicole Kidman and Uma Thurman - and uses her extra time planning date nights and romantic evenings in with her spouse.

The source added to National Enquirer magazine: "She scheduled date nights whenever possible. It's helped put the fire back into their marriage.

"Gwyneth has learned to remind him how important he is to her. She's also figuring out how to just relax and not stress every detail. It's all made a huge difference."
