Chace Crawford looks for love everywhere

Chace Crawford thinks is better to date a girl who isn't an actress.

The 'Gossip Girl' star - who previously dated Carrie Underwood - accepts it is an obvious thing for actors to date women in the same industry but prefers to look further afield.

He said: "My friends think that dating within the industry is better because you're on the same level. You understand more. At the same time it can get a bit sticky because schedules can get tight. There are pros and cons to everything, but I think it can be a little more refreshing to date someone who isn't in the profession."

Although Chace isn't in a serious relationship at the moment he claims he is a romantic boyfriend.

The 24-year-old actor added: "When I'm into a girl, I'd like to think I'm a good boyfriend. I'm not really into the cheesy stuff. I like the personal little things. I get creative, it's got to be tailored to the girl though."

Earlier this month, Chace went on some dates with a British actress known only as Tessa while he was in London.

He took the blonde beauty to restaurant Le Caprice and exclusive nightspot Whiskey Mist after being introduced to her by a mutual friend.
