Brendan Fraser has plump pooch

Brendan Fraser has the "fattest" dog on the planet.

The actor - who piled on the pounds for new movie 'Furry Vengeance' - says his beloved pet Chihuahua has an insatiable appetite and is a very plump pooch.

He told Parade.com: "I have a Chihuahua who may be the fattest Chihuahua on the planet, which astonishes me because it's only got like two teeth left in its head to eat with. I don't know, maybe his legs are shrinking because his stomach keeps getting closer to the ground. He was my role model for the film."

Brendan is a huge animal lover and they generally like him, but he did once have a frightening moment with an enraged gaggle of geese.

The actor - who plays a real estate developer trying to bulldoze a forest but runs into trouble with the woodland creatures in comedy 'Furry Vengeance' - said: "I respect animals and they usually don't mess with me. OK, there was a time when I was a little kid at a horse riding camp in Ontario. I got chased by a flock of geese. When they get mad, they put their heads down and hiss and flap their wings. They were

really intimidating. I remember I had to climb a fence post to get away."
