Los Angeles - Rocker-turned-reality TV star Bret Michaels was fighting for his life Monday at an undisclosed Los Angeles hospital as doctors tried to find the cause of a massive brain hemorrhage he suffered Thursday, according to an update on his website.
Michaels, the 47-year-old former lead singer of the band Poison, remained in critical condition in the intensive care unit, the posting said.
'As we all know Bret is a fighter and we are hopeful that once all is complete, the slurred speech, blurred vision and dizziness, etc. will be eliminated and all functions will return to normal. Everyone at Michaels Entertainment would like to thank all fans and friends for their continued thoughts and prayers through this difficult time,' his tour manager, Janna Elias, said in a statement.
Michaels' reality TV gigs include three seasons as the resident bachelor on the dating show Rock of Love and as a contestant on the show Celebrity Apprentice.
Donald Trump, who hosts that show, said that his future looked ominous, telling celebrity website TMZ.com that the musician is in 'big, big trouble and the prognosis is not great.'
