Matchmakers Denise and Kendra

Denise Richards and Kendra Wilkinson are trying to set their parents up on a date.

The 'Wild Things' actress is attempting to unite her father Irv with the former Playboy model's single mother Patti for a blind date which will be filmed and televised for an upcoming episode of reality show 'Kendra'.

A source said: "As soon as she heard about it, Denise called Kendra's people and suggested they have Patti date Irv. She thought it would be great TV but Denise is also really serious about finding someone for her dad. Denise is really serious about playing matchmaker for her father."

Telephone engineer Irv has been on his own since 2007, when his wife and Denise's mother Joni, a coffee shop owner, passed away following a long battle with cancer.

Patti split from Kendra's father Eric in March 1994 after 10 years of marriage - when the model was just eight years old.

Neither of the starlets have had simple love lives themselves.

Denise married actor Charlie Sheen - who she has daughters Sam, six, and four-year-old Lola Rose with - in 2002 but the pair divorced in 2006.

Kendra - who is an ex-girlfriend of Playboy lothario Hugh Hefner - married her husband Hank Baskett in June last year, while she was pregnant with their first child Hank IV, who is now four months old.
