Jennifer Hudson revamps image post baby

The last few years for American Idol alumni Jennifer Hudson have been soaring highs and cratering lows, as her star rose in Hollywood, her personal life was colored by unimaginable tragedy, losing her family members in a brutal murder.

The estranged brother-in-law - William Balfour - of Hudson was charged with three counts of first-degree murder stemming from the fatal shootings of Hudson's mother, brother and nephew. 

Balfour is the estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson's sister, Julia Hudson, and the stepfather of one of the victims, 7-year-old Julian King.

Bouncing back from her loss, Hudson partnered with David Otunga and had a son with him.

Now, post baby, Jennifer has signed on to be the new spokeswoman for Weight Watchers.

Hudson gave birth seven months ago, has used the weight loss company's methods of the point system to lose the weight.

“I'm doing Weight Watchers, losing weight, and loving I,” the Dreamgirls star said on her website. "The best part is, it’s working. Really working. The weight is coming off. The new jeans are slipping. And I feel so, so good."

The Oscar wining actresses added, “With Weight Watchers I am enjoying the weight loss because I'm doing it the right way. I feel empowered with what I've learned, everything from portion control to what foods will help keep me satisfied. It's a lifestyle change, not a diet."
