Sandra Bullock is expecting a "backlash" against her success.

'The Blind Side' actress - who recently collected the Best Actress Oscar for the movie - doesn't believe her accolade was simply due to her giving a good performance, but because the time was right for her work to be celebrated.

She said: "It's just timing that's been very good this year and you know what? Next year, it's probably not going to be so good, and they'll probably be the backlash, and the whole, 'What did we see in her in the first place?' You know the way this happens - the tide will always go out, no matter what."

The 45-year-old star -who has been rocked by claims her husband Jesse James has been unfaithful - also claimed she had never really felt at ease with the celebrity aspect of being an actress.

She told the Guardian newspaper: "Leaving my house and getting on to a red carpet is always crazy for me, because you have to find a way to be comfortable in the most uncomfortable situation imaginable. How do you talk yourself down so it's all water off a duck's back? It's a world that's just not mine - I just come in and do my job and then go back home."
