Nicole Richie's altered focus

Feb 17, 2010, 9:42 GMT

Nicole Richie's priorities changed after having children.

The 28-year-old socialite - who has been in rehab to be treated for drug addiction - admits everything in her life changed after she had two-year-old daughter Harlow and son Sparrow, five months with fiance Joel Madden.

She said: "When you have the kids, everything changes doesn't it? It sounds cheesy to say, but it does.

"Your whole life changes and your priorities change 100 per cent... in the best way possible."

Nicole has also admitted she and Joel are planning to have more children - but are unsure on what they could name their third baby.

Speaking about Harlow and Sparrow, she said: "I didn't even realise that both of their names ended with 'ow.

"I love the name Willow, and now that's out because I'm not gonna have all kids with 'ows!'"

Discussing her children's unusual names, Nicole claimed the final decision requires give and take on both her and the Good Charlotte rocker's part.

She admitted: "Joel and I have very different tastes in names. We really just have to work with whatever it is we both agree on, so I really liked Sparrow from Captain Jack Sparrow, and he liked it for different reasons."

Yesterday (16.02.10) Nicole's father, soul singer Lionel Richie, admitted he was excited about walking his daughter down the aisle.

He said: "My happiness for Nicole and Joel knows no boundaries. They have given me two beautiful grandchildren, Harlow and Sparrow, and have proven to be great parents.

"I am not sure who is luckier, Nicole and Joel to have each other, or me, to have both of them in my life. I cannot wait to give away the bride!"
