Alex Reid's dad excitement

Alex Reid can't wait to be a father.

The cage fighter, who married glamour model Katie Price in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas earlier this month, says the couple have already started "practicing" for a baby.

He said: "Katie said in various interviews last week that we're already trying for a baby and I can confirm that we did lots of practicing in Vegas!

"I really can't wait to become a dad - and I'll be thrilled whether we have a boy or a girl whenever it happens."

The 34-year-old star loves every aspect of being married, and admits he gets upset when he has to take of his wedding ring for training.

He said: "Being married to Mrs. Reid is the most amazing thing in the world. The only bad bit has been having to remove my wedding ring when I'm fighting! I don't like that at all."

Alex also laughed off reports that his union with Katie - who has three children, Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princes Tiaamii - had infuriated his family, insisting his loved ones were "delighted" by their marriage.

He added in his column for Britain's Star magazine: "That story was complete nonsense! My mum and family are 100 per cent behind us and delighted we got married. They all know how incredible Katie is, and will celebrate with all our family and friends in the UK soon."
