John Mayer's publicist has snagged big magazine covers for the singer, and with the photo shoot came the shooting of the mouth.
In a few short months, the singer has informed the free world of the following:
At the Hard Rock Cafe Q The Music Club in London:
During the performance, he said to the audience: 'I learned how to make a pot brownie. I went on Google.
'But then I realised the people who put up the recipes are stoners and they were writing a lot about the planet before they actually gave out the recipe.
'I made them and fell asleep. They should put them in a bottle and manufacture them instead of sleeping pills.'
He also said: 'I'm going to set someone preggers tonight.'
A few choice excerpts from the latest Rolling Stone interview with Mayer:
John on masturbation:
"I am the new generation of masturbator. I've seen it all. Before I make coffee, I've seen more butt holes than a proctologist does in a week. I mean, I have masturbated myself out of serious problems in my life. The phone doesn't pick up because I'm masturbating. And I have excused myself at the oddest times so as to not make mistakes. If Tiger Woods only knew when to jerk off. It has a true market value, like gold bullion. First of all, I don't jerk off because I'm horny. I'm sort of half-chick. Itıs like District 9. I can fire alien weapons. I can insert a tampon. No, I do it because I want to take a brain bath. It's like a hot whirlpool for my brain, in a brain space that is 100 percent agreeable with itself."
John on Jennifer Aniston:
"I'm the a**hole. I burned the American flag. I basically murdered an ideal. I've never really gotten over it. It was one of the worst times of my life. I have this weird feeling, a pride thing, for the people I've had relationships with. What would I be saying to Jen, who I think is f*cking fantastic, if I said to her, 'I don't dislike you. In fact, I like you extremely well. But I have to back out of this because it doesn't arc over the horizon. This is not where I see myself for the rest of my life, this is not my ideal destiny.' I'll be happy when I close out this life-partner thing. It's been a long time since I've felt attached. Think of how much mental capacity I'm using to meet the right person so I can stop giving a f*ck about it."
John's may be Gay ways:
"I don't care about anything other than energy. That's why people think, 'Is he bi? Is he that?' I've never slept with a man. But I get it. I've seen pictures of men on the Internet that are sexier than pictures of most women."
The latest interview from Playboy's March issue which was so offensive the Grammy-winner took to his Twitter page to apologize after the fact.
Mayer claims ex girlfriend Jessica Simpson was crack cocaine and "sexual napalm" and says Jennifer Aniston is a technophobe who lives in the past, and misses her prime in 1998.
But the worst comments come over his sexual preferences with regards to race, saying he has a "Benetton heart" and a "David Duke c*ck."
Duke is a well-known white separatist who ran for political office in Louisiana.
On Twitter, Mayer apologized for the racial slurs and said he has to stop "trying to be so raw in interviews."
"It started as an attempt to not let the waves of criticism get to me, but it's gotten out of hand and I've created somewhat of a monster," Mayer tweeted. "I wanted to be a blues guitar player. And a singer. And a songwriter. Not a shock jock. I don't have the stomach for it."
The Rolling Stone interview painted Mayer as a narcissistic wise guy, but the Playboy interview revealed Mayer to be insensitive and down right offensive, as he kissed and told on his ex girlfriend Simpson's sexuality, his problem with the age difference between him and Jennifer Aniston, his love of pornography and why he doesn't date black women, despite having black fans.
"Someone asked me the other day, 'What does it feel like now to have a hood pass?' And by the way, it's sort of a contradiction in terms, because if you really had a hood pass, you could call it a n*gger pass,'" he said, then added: "But I said, 'I can't really have a hood pass. I've never walked into a restaurant, asked for a table and been told, 'We're full.'"
Mayer later conceded he should have never have used the N-word in any context and will never say it again.
"And it's such a shame that I did because the point I was trying to make was in the exact opposite spirit of the word itself. It was arrogant of me to think I could intellectualize using it, because I realize that there's no intellectualizing a word that is so emotionally charged," he said.
Regarding Jennifer Aniston, whoi just turned 41, he said: "I can't change the fact that I need to be 32."
He also said she rued today's 24/7 tabloid fervor and new technology: "The brunt of her success came before TMZ and Twitter. I think she's still hoping it goes back to 1998. She saw my involvement in technology as courting distraction. And I always said, 'These are the new rules,'" he said.
In the interview, he also explained why he didn't date black women, comparing his genitals to "a white supremacist."
John Mayer apologized to fans in Nashville for being constantly "persecuted" and for being "pinned down" and said his "quest to be clever" was over.
