Ramsay was looking a bit like a teenage backpacker as he touched down in LA. - Whittle / Splash News The 43-year-old can currently be seen on UK screens in the new show Gordon's Great Escape. The UK version of MasterChef sees amateur cooks competing against each other, and it is presented by British chef John Torode and food critic Gregg Wallace. Talking about the series, Ramsay said: 'You're finding domestic talent. MasterChef is for the amateur. 'It really makes me excited to think about getting that young talent and preparing him or her.' Ramsay's show Kitchen Nightmares USA will also go out during the winter.
