Charlie Sheen ruins Colorado Christmas, arrested

Christmas means family, friends, perhaps attending Mass and serving up good eats for most, but for actor Charlie Sheen, it is now time spent cooling his heels in a chilly Colorado jail.

The Aspen Police department released a press statement that outlined the arrest of Sheen who is in Pitkin County Jail in Colorado after being arrested on felony domestic violence charges following a domestic disturbance with his wife.

The estranged couple are physically separated, with Brooke Mueller staying in a rented vacation home in Colorado, and Sheen residing in Los Angeles.

Charlie allegedly shoved Brooke, according to the Aspen Police.

Sheen, 44, is being held on charges of second-degree assault and menacing, both felonies, along with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, Aspen police spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro said.

Sheen will be in the jail for a spell, he is reportedly held without bond until his first court appearance. The court was closed for Christmas, and no date for his appearance has been set.

Dasaro said Sheen would be advised of any bond conditions when he appears in court.

Brooke Mueller Sheen delivered twin boys in March. They married in May 2008 after the acrimonious divorce between Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen settled down.

Born Carlos Irwin Estevez, Charlie Sheen's publicized dalliances with drugs nearly killed him in 1998. He was also rumored to be a client of the Hollywood Madame Heidi Fleiss.  Fleiss spoke to the press about Sheen's obsession with cheerleaders and transvestites during the break-up of his marriage with Richards.
