Ex-England star Gascoigne fined for drunk and disorderly incident

London - Former England footballer Paul Gascoigne was fined for being drunk and disorderly on Wednesday, according to the BBC.
The 42-year-old, who had notable spells with Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Glasgow Rangers, was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning after a disturbance in Jesmond, an area of Newcastle.
Gascoigne, who won 57 caps, received a fixed penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly, of between 50 and 80 pounds (81 and 130 dollars).
The former England man has had a history of problems with alcohol and was sectioned three times in 2008 under the Mental Health Act.
