Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan has been urged by Hindus to take a dip in the Ganges river while in India to film a new TV show.
Lohan, 23, is making a new BBC documentary and it is claimed she recently flew out to India to film the charity project.
She wrote on Twitter: 'Going to make one of my lifelong dreams on my list of things to do in this lifetime!!!!! Wish me luck! Fill you guys in when I return to USA.'
Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed said in a statement that Lohan should make use of her trip to 'rediscover' herself by spending time in an ashram and take a dip in the holy Ganges.
It is believed that those who bathe in the sacred Ganges are purified of their sins and a daily dip leads to immortality.
