The mother of Nicolas Cage's son Weston is suing the actor for fraud and breach of contract, according to court papers.
Christina Fulton alleges she has been drawn into Cage's financial morass, which has forced him to put US and British properties up for sale, along with other assets. He reportedly owes $6.3 million in unpaid taxes to the Internal Revenue Service.
In an October lawsuit, Cage alleged his former accountant Samuel Levin caused him ruin.
Fulton says the imbroglio has left her $1.2 million in the red. The 42-year-old former actress alleges Cage provided her with a home in LA in return for raising Weston, now 18.
Cage allegedly served her with a 60-day notice to get out in September. Fulton claims she owes the IRS more than $1 million, plus $250,000 in credit card debt. She says Cage was paying the card off and blames Cage and Levin for the mess. In total she is seeking more than $13 million in damages.
Levin has counter-sued Cage, accusing him of 'compulsive, self-destructive spending'.
An attorney for the actor, Marty Singer, told TMZ: 'The lawsuit is an absurd claim. All of these claims are long-time barred by the statute of limitations and are baseless.'
