Los Angeles - Hollywood siren Uma Thurman has called off her engagement to wealthy Swiss businessman Arpad Busson, People magazine reported Tuesday.

The report quoted a friend of the couple as saying that they split last November. The couple began dating in the summer of 2007 and announced the engagement a year later. The magazine said that Busson was 'beside himself' that they weren't able to work things out.

In September, Thurman, 39, admitted she wasn't planning to marry Busson anytime soon. 'I'm happily engaged but we haven't set a wedding up,' she told W magazine. 'I'm not in a rush to do anything. One day we'll do it, when we're ready.'

Downey Jr to get star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame

Los Angeles - Actor Robert Downey Jr has become the latest movie icon to get his own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

The 44-year-old star of Iron Man and the upcoming Sherlock Holmes dabbed his feet and hands in wet cement outside the famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, joining legends such as Judy Garland, John Wayne and Cary Grant.

Downey, who struggled to overcome drug addiction until 2001, has received two Oscar nominations, one for his lead role in Chaplin and another for a supporting turn in Tropic Thunder.

'I remember when I was a kid and we lived up the street, I used to walk down here ... and I'd look at all these names,' the actor told US entertainment channel ET.

Tori and Candi Spelling end long Hollywood feud

Los Angeles - One of the bitterest feuds in Hollywood is over. Tori Spelling and her mother, Candy Spelling, are putting their differences aside for the sake of Tori's children, her husband Dean McDermott told People magazine.

'They have been in communications,' McDermott said. 'Candy has seen the kids, which is what this is all about.'

Tori, 36, and Candy, 64, have not been talking since family patriarch Aaron Spelling died two years ago. But McDermott would not reveal how they resolved their spat. 'We are keeping all this private like it should be,' he said.
