Eva Green thinks auditions are "brutal".
The 'Quantum of Solace' actress has criticised casting directors for belittling her skills when she tries out for a part.
She told Britain's Independent magazine: "There's always something wrong. They're brutal, it's a jungle. It's as if you're a facade, like a model who can't act."
The 29-year-old actress recently admitted she often "freaks out" when working on a movie because she is so insecure about her abilities.
She said: "When I'm prepping and really working on it, I'm freaking out - that I'm not going to measure up, it's not going to work. That I'm going to look so bland, and I have no idea what the director wants. I freak out completely."
While Eva hates the experience of auditioning, she says she has to like a film as much a producers like her before she will sign up.
She explained: "I've been lucky. But the thing is, I wish I could learn to do work for the sake of it. Sometimes actors do this. They learn from each experience, even if the film was not that great. I can't do that. I feel ill if I can't. I need to love it with my heart."
