Going Rogue perhaps, but certainly not going commando is Levi Johnston, the baby-daddy of book-slinging ex Governor Sarah Palin, who is competing with her almost son-in-law for headlines and talk show bookings.
First, Playgirl has revealed that Johnston's wedding tackle will not be hanging out in full view despite what his manager Tank has alluded to in the press. Playgirl's Daniel Nardicio told the website Gawker: "He did not give 'full-frontal' as his manager Tank Jones reported he would. We're thrilled with the photos we got, and are confident people will love them. Although there may be glimpses, we did not get full on frontal nudity."
Meanwhile, the GOP lightening rod from Wasilla was recently on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" (aired Monday) and practically invited the estranged father of her grandson to Thanksgiving dinner.
Johnston was at my favorite new celebrity death-match tabloid TV show, "The Insider" and had some delicious bon mots to share regarding his almost Mother-in-law Sarah Palin.
When Palin told Oprah she feared for his future and the "path" he was currently on.
Johnston tells the Insider: I think she's going out and talking and she's just digging a bigger hole for herself.
When Palin referred to the Playgirl shoot as "porn," Levi remarked, "I just look at her in disgust. ... It's almost funny, that she's like, 46 years old, and she's battling a 19 year old, and I'm winning. And I'm telling the truth. She's lying and losing. ... If you look at her face, she's got -- she's really -- you can tell her mind's going 100 miles an hour when Oprah asked her those Levi questions. ... I've got a lot more knowledge and credibility than she gives me credit for."
Palin, according to Johnston, is "underestimating me right now. And that's not a smart thing to do."
Johnston tells The Insider he is gearing up for a custody battle.
"When were go into court, all this is gonna be over with, and I won't have much else to say about Sarah Palin, 'cause I will have my kid."
And despite the olive branch extended by Palin to Levi, he counters, "I think, if I go there, I'm gonna need an army, 'cause it's not gonna be good."
