The star of so many great films, from "Grosse Pointe Blank" to "War, Inc.", actor John Cusack spoke to "Extra" and revealed a reflective mood as he shared he felt "old" on the 20th anniversary of his bittersweet classic coming of age film, "Say Anything." 11/03/2009 - John Cusack -

11/03/2009 - John Cusack - "It's nice to be talking about something that you did 20 years ago," he told "Extra" at the junket for his new action flick, '2012,' out Nov. 13. © Chris Hatcher / PR PhotosCusack was happy the film had legs and still resonated with a wide audience, and was grateful so many people still loved the movie, which hit theaters in April 1989. A special 20th anniversary DVD was released on Nov. 3."It's nice to be talking about something that you did 20 years ago," he told "Extra" at the junket for his new action flick, '2012,' out Nov. 13."I just remember it being a cool time in my life and the stars sort of aligning with the director [Cameron Crowe].""Extra" also sat down with Cusack's '2012' co-star Amanda Peet, who said she finds it easier to play a mom now that she has a two-year-old daughter, Frances.
Or maybe acting is easier "just cause I'm old," she jokes.
One thing that wasn't easy for Peet: shooting '2012's' special effects in front of a green screen. "I suck," she quips. "It's like silent movie acting."More of "Extra's" interview with Cusack and Peet airs Friday night!
